SkinPen microneedling is an FDA-cleared treatment that uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production. It helps improve texture, fine lines, acne scars, and overall skin tone.
Most patients experience mild redness similar to a sunburn for 24 to 48 hours. Normal activities can usually be resumed the next day.
Initial improvement may be seen within 1 to 2 weeks, with continued results over several weeks as collagen production increases. A series of treatments is often recommended for best results.
